About Queen's Wharf Weekend
A small independent guide to one hotel and one weekend. We started in 2026 with a simple question: if you have two nights at Queen's Wharf, how do you spend them well?
What we are
An editorial guide and a room-request desk. The guide is the weekend plan and the pages around it. The desk is the form at the bottom of each page: we check rooms and rates for your dates and answer by email.
What we are not
We are not The Star Grand, The Star Brisbane or Queen's Wharf Brisbane, and we are not affiliated with their owners or operator. We do not sell tickets, take payments or offer, promote or link to any form of gambling.
How we research
- We read the operator's own pages for the hotel, every venue we mention and its policies.
- We read the precinct owner's pages, and government sources such as the Queensland Government's statements and the operator's stock exchange announcements.
- We write down each fact with its source. Every page ends with the list of pages we checked and the date.
- When two official pages disagree — on a parking charge, a capacity, a hotel's future — we print both and say so.
- When we could not find something, we say that too. We do not fill gaps with guesses.
We have not been hosted by the hotel, and this guide is built from what the hotel, its operator, the precinct owner and public bodies have published. When we offer an opinion — which room to ask for, what order to do things in — it is marked as ours.
Pictures
The images on this site are illustrations made for us, not photographs of the hotel or the precinct. We chose a woodblock-print style so that nobody mistakes them for photographs. For real photographs, see the official website.
Corrections
If something on the site is wrong or out of date, write to hello@queenswharfweekend.com with the page and, if you can, a link to the source. We correct mistakes and change the date on the page.
