How we use this page when planning
A few events change our weekend plan more than others. The Thursday market only matters if you arrive a day early. The Saturday art tour fits neatly into the morning before check-in. The cinema nights are midweek, so they suit a longer stay. And a sold-out ballroom night, such as the Christmas ball, means the hotel will be busy that Friday — send your dates early if your weekend overlaps.
Across the river and around town
South Bank, a walk away over the Neville Bonner Bridge, has its own programme at QPAC, the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, and at the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art. We do not copy their calendars here because they change weekly; their official sites are linked on our South Bank page. For games, The Star's FAQ puts Suncorp Stadium about 3 km away, the Gabba about 2 km and Riverstage about 1 km.
We list events; we do not sell tickets and we are not paid by any venue on this page. Our income comes only from room requests that turn into stays, as explained on the revenue disclosure page.
