Events, celebrations and groups at The Star Brisbane

Our desk handles room requests for a weekend. Bigger occasions — a wedding reception, a conference, a birthday dinner for thirty — are run by the operator's own events team. This page sets out what spaces exist and who to ask.

The spaces and how many people they hold

The figures differ slightly between pages — 1,800 on one, 1,847 on another; 120 trade-show booths on the Event Centre page, 124 across ballroom and foyer on the conference page. We show both rather than choose one. The Event Centre also has pre-function rooms, a business centre and a conference secretariat.

Weddings

We did not find a dedicated wedding page on The Star Brisbane site when we checked. The celebrations page lists engagement parties, anniversaries, hens and bucks parties among the occasions it plans for, and the ballroom, the Sky Deck and the Leisure Deck are offered for private events. For a reception, write to the events team at TSBsales@star.com.au and ask directly what they can host.

Smaller celebrations

Aloria on the Sky Deck: a Sunset Table and a semi-private dining room.
Sokyo in the hotel lobby: a semi-private dining room.
Cucina Regina on The Terrace: a private dining room.
Dark Shepherd and Pompette on The Terrace: private dining rooms (Pompette has three).
Cicada Blu on the Sky Deck: bookings for groups of 30 or more; smaller groups walk in.
Fat Noodle: semi-private dining, inside the 18+ casino.

Accommodation for event guests

The events pages offer 436 rooms for delegates and guests across The Star Grand and Treasury Brisbane. If your group needs a block of rooms, the events team usually handles it together with the event. If you are simply a few friends coming for the same weekend, our ordinary request form works: send one request, put the number of rooms in the notes, and we check what is available.

Recognition

The events page lists a 2025 Restaurant & Catering Association Hostplus Award for Excellence, Event Catering, Queensland and Northern Territory. We report it as the operator presents it.
