Public ratings: what we could check
We only quote a rating if we have seen it ourselves, with the number of reviews and the date. For The Star Grand that leaves one source.
Google Maps
| Listing | The Star Grand Hotel |
|---|---|
| Rating shown | 4.2 out of 5 |
| Number of reviews | 236 |
| Class shown | 5-star hotel |
| Seen | 29 October 2026, on the listing's map label and card |
Google also has a separate listing for the resort as a whole, The Star Brisbane, which showed 4.1 on the same day. We could not see its review count, so we give the figure without one. Ratings move every week; open the listing for the current number.

What we did not use
Travel booking sites and review platforms block automated reading, and we do not copy numbers we have not seen. So there is no Tripadvisor, Booking.com or Expedia figure on this site. We also do not summarise reviews into themes we have not read. Our verdict is based on the official facts, not on other people's reviews.
Other public markers
- The Star calls The Star Grand a five-star hotel on its own pages; Google shows the same class.
- The Star announced one million visitors to the Sky Deck since the staged opening in August 2024.
- The events team lists a 2025 Restaurant & Catering Association Hostplus Award for Excellence for event catering, Queensland and Northern Territory.
