River King Room: the one most people picture
Same size class as the City King — about 40 square metres — but facing the Brisbane River and South Bank, with a writing desk the city rooms do not list.

What the hotel lists
| Average size | 40 sqm |
|---|---|
| Bed | Superior quality king bed, The Star's bedding and pillows |
| Outlook | Sweeping river views |
| In the room | Integrated control system, complimentary wireless internet, modern writing desk, personal safe, 55-inch LCD television |
| Bathroom | Modern bathroom with prestige bathing amenities |
Why we put it in our plan
Our weekend plan has you in the room twice when the light matters: briefly after check-in at 3 pm, and late on Saturday night after the Sky Deck. From a river room you see the Neville Bonner Bridge you will walk on Sunday, and South Bank on the other side. That is the whole argument for paying the difference.
What to weigh
The hotel does not say which floors the River King Rooms are on, and views from lower floors will be different from higher ones. We do not promise a floor, and nobody honest can. If a high floor matters, say so in your request and we will ask.
If you need handrails in the bathroom, the River Accessible Room is slightly larger on average, at 42 square metres, with the same outlook.
